For though I am a poet
At the essence of my being,
I hide it, dare not show it:
For fear of what You
Might think upon seeing,
Slanderous and disagreeing:
Worse yet, judge it true,
And find it lacking shade or hue.
For though I am a poet
At the essence of my being,
I hide it, dare not show it:
For fear of what You
Might think upon seeing,
Slanderous and disagreeing:
Worse yet, judge it true,
And find it lacking shade or hue.
It lacks nothing for me. Thank you for sharing your essence.
You can’t hide your essence. It tends to leak out of you, no matter how tightly you push it down.
