Content to Be

Electromagnetic entities—
charged particles—

swirling in the æther:

compelled to and fro,
by invisible forces.

Dancing on a spiral:
crooning from fleshy cages:

telling themselves stories,
about the whys and whatfors…

Aggregate and dissolute,
they stick and are unstuck:

patterns shift, and
become unrecognizable.

The science of animation,
art of existence,
knows no limitations.

But some particle groups,
in their excitations,

construct their fantasies,
and forget they are fallacies.

They can’t recognize who
and what they are, until

the aggregate,
once more, dissolves
back into the æther...

And they no longer require
any explanation at all,

but are,
once more, simply,
content to be...
